Installation & Tips

  • It is advised to run your machine without any clothes, to remove any built up detergent that may still be present in your machine.
  • It is also advised to check taps for leaking prior to any full clothes washing.

How does the EcoLaundry® clean clothes?

When you use the EcoLaundry, your laundry water will first pass through the EcoLaundry® before entering your washing machine. The EcoLaundry® technology creates ozone, hydrogen peroxide, and negative ions within the water. This water then passes through a static mixer to create hydroxyl radicals. This oxidized water then enters your washing machine to disinfect and deep clean your laundry like never before!

Does the EcoLaundry® clean as well as hot water and detergent?
Absolutely, it actually deep cleans much better than detergents! Also, detergents do not disinfect your laundry. They encourage bacteria growth and odors, while oxidized water works to disinfect and remove odors for fresh smelling laundry and washing machines. (We cannot make legal claims that it will disinfect anything 100%, but we know this is a major advantage over chemical detergent.) In place of using chemicals the EcoLaundry® uses advanced hospital pure technology to produce super oxidized water that binds with dirt and removes it better than detergents, and leaves laundry smelling extremely fresh, rather than having the chemical fumes from detergents.

Toxic residual chemicals also remain in your laundry even after a good rinse, this can be extremely irritating to those with chemically sensitive skin, babies and the elderly. Chemicals mat down your laundry and means you're wearing chemical clothing that absorbed into your skin all day. Hot water and detergent break down (shred) and prematurely ruin laundry much more quickly (so your new clothes and towels stay new looking and feeling new longer) and keeps colors brighter longer. You won't see that kind of fading or deterioration when using the gentle EcoLaundry® process. Your laundry will last longer and there will be much less lint in the dryer.

Finally, powerful oxidized water (similar to #1 selling oxygen based cleansers) is natural, acting as a safe toxic free bleaching agent for colors and whites. No more bleach (which also breaks your laundry down more quickly). Detergents also dry out laundry; the High Tech EcoLaundry® leaves your laundry feeling soft and smelling fresh so you won't need fabric softener anymore.

I'm feeling skeptical. Isn't this too good to be true?
Since the EcoLaundry® technology, at first, sounds so unbelievable, even though "it is proven superior" to all detergents millions of Americans still have a false mind set that chemical detergents, fabric softeners and hot water are needed to really deep clean laundry. Our toughest job is to "dispel that myth". Technological breakthroughs often sound too good to be true at first and of course some people do try to sell you snake oil. But the technology used in the EcoLaundry has been used in hotels and hospitals for decades. Just like computers have gotten smaller we're now able to put this fantastic technology into a compact solid state affordable unit that works with your existing home washing machine. Once you personally experience these almost unbelievable fantastic savings and healthy safe benefits you'll quickly become an EcoLaundry® enthusiastic believer. The EcoLaundry® really is the future of laundry, you will not be disappointed. For the skeptic in you, you don’t need to just take our word for it, order one today and try it "Risk Free" for 4 weeks doing laundry in a whole new modern chemical free way for one month, we know you'll quickly become another EcoLaundry believer. If you're not entirely thrilled we'll refund all your money PLUS even pay the return shipping.

Do I still need a washing machine?
Yes! You'll still do laundry in a washing machine like you already do. The difference is that you'll never need to heat up your water or add detergent, bleach, or fabric softener again.

What kind of washing machine is required?
EcoLaundry® will work with any household washing machine that uses a standard-sized laundry hose for the water. All it does is provide a different kind of water for your washing machine, eliminating the need for hot water and detergent.

Can I still use detergent, bleach, and fabric softener with the EcoLaundry®?
We're not fans of the chemicals used in these products, and encourage you to try the EcoLaundry® without them. But some people like the smell of detergent (though be aware that you are breathing in toxins when you do so), or may just feel more comfortable about using it when cleaning their clothes. Or you may feel your whites are a little brighter when adding bleach (though we don't think so, and this will break down your laundry more quickly). We really don't think you'll find the need for fabric softener.

The bottom line, though, is that adding these will not hurt your EcoLaundry® because they are added into the washing machine and never pass through the EcoLaundry®.

Do I still need to pre-treat my laundry?
Yes, we encourage you to pre-treat laundry as you would have prior to using EcoLaundry®.

How much money will I really save by using the EcoLaundry®?
Real figures confirm "the potential savings" over the EcoLaundry's 10 year lifespan can save families "literally thousands of dollars" for this one time small investment. We've done some due diligence to provide you with real numbers about how much you can save using this technology, and we try to be transparent about the facts. Savings vary based on how much you heat your water and what energy source you use; how much you spend on detergent, bleach, and fabric softener; how much you're able to save on your drying cycle; etc. There is another major benefit most don’t even think about. There is NO MORE  need to shop and lug heavy detergents from the store to your home on a regular basis.

Here are some saving ranges for a family of 4 doing 400 loads of laundry a year and saving 10 minutes per drying cycle by not using detergent: Bear in mind, these figure DO NOT INCLUDE the huge savings realized since detergents build up GUNK inside your washing machine drum area causing needless washing machine repairs.

PLUS the ongoing savings that you enjoy from longer lasting laundry with cloths and colors looking new much longer and a decrease in washing machines / dryer service. In total we expect the average family of 4 to save up to or more then $700 every year. The EcoLaundry® is also much healthier, while paying for itself quickly then putting additional hundreds of dollars back into your families budget year after year.

Is the EcoLaundry® easy to install?
Absolutely yes. If you can put two screws into a wall, level to one another using our template, that's the most difficult step. After that, you're hanging the EcoLaundry® on the screws; then following instructions to turn off the water coming into your washer and swapping some hoses. Attach the front of the unit, turn your water back on, and plug in the EcoLaundry®. It takes about 10 minutes and comes with everything you need.

Does EcoLaundry work with Top Loaders and Front Loaders?
Absolutely yes. It doesn’t matter what type of machine you have, will work with any model that has a cold inlet.

Does EcoLandry work with Tank Water?
Absolutely yes.  As long as your tank water is connected to the water mains, and your machine and EcoLaundry are as well.

What can go wrong with the unit?
The Eco laundry unit is maintenance free and you should get many years of detergent free washing from your Eco Laundry unit.

Explain in layman’s terms how the Ozone works
Ozone laundry units have been around for decades, but were too large, expensive or unreliable for household use. Just in the last few years, advances in this technology have brought them into residential applications. Cold water is first directed through the Eco Laundry System. A small ozone generator converts O2 (regular oxygen) into O3 (ozone)  which is mixed and diffused into the water supply before entering your washing machine. This ozonated water then passes into the washer, the colder the water, the more effective the ozone saturation will be.

The ozone cleans by breaking the molecular bonds that holds dirt and grime to your cloths while oxidizing most of this material into carbon dioxide and water. It also interacts with microorganisms such as bacteria by rupturing and breaking their cell walls killing them.

Ozone works about 3000 times faster and 1.5 times for effectively than bleach against bacteria. Afterward any remaining ozone naturally converts back into regular oxygen. What you are left with are clean cloths and linen free of any smells, dirt and grime or chemicals. Simple to use and extremely effective. The Eco Laundry unit doesn't require any maintenance, cleaning or additives and it is backed by a 30 Day Money Back Guarantee and a Full 12 months Manufacturer Parts and Labor Warranty.

Will the Ozone generated by the Eco Laundry harm my washing machine?
To the contrary, the Eco laundry will also clean your washing machine stripping away all the soapy deposits and grime that has built up over the years while using traditional washing detergents. It will also mean that the sour smell that can build up in your machine over time due to the residue will be a thing of the past. See link to a report on detergents ACA (A Current Affair) http://aca.ninemsn.com.au/video/?uuid=3973172712001, showing the harm detergents are doing to your machine & clothes.
Life of the Machine
The Eco laundry unit has an expected service life of 10yrs.
Is there a filter that needs changing or any maintenance issues.
The Eco Laundry does not require any ongoing maintenance.

Should we turn the water tap off when machine not in use?
Like your washing machine it is always recommended to turn the water supply tap off when the machine is not being used. But also have this on an instruction page;  which may include, recommended to run first cycle without clothes;  unit only works with cold water – hence turn hot water connection off ;  ensure hose connection is threaded correctly and firmly and check no leaks during first cycle;  follow all instructions in the box;  continue to pre-treat stains as you would have prior to using EcoLaundry ( eg: soaking, or spot spray with your selected products);  always turn water supply off when machine not in use.
